I initially trained with the BST Foundation in London, qualifying with a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis (DCHyp) with distinction, and went on to complete their Advanced Practitioner's Certificate in Clinical & Strategic Hypnosis (A.Cert.CSHyp). This state-of-the-art course explores many advanced therapeutic skills, including rapid assessment and profiling of symptoms, accessing and re-synthesis techniques based on the work of Ernest Rossi to facilitate psychological balance (homeostasis), and the effective utilisation of clients' symptoms.

 I have gone on to train as an NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner with BeeLeaf Institute in London, two full 130-hour trainings in Systemic NLP (unlike the many weekend and 7-day trainings out there). The qualifications are incorporated into BeeLeaf's Certificates in Foundation and Intermediate Skills in Contemporary Psychotherapy.  I am a member of the Community for Contemporary Psychotherapy. Systemic NLP - Neuro-Linguistic Programming - investigates how we process sensory information and language to shape our maps of the world, and how we can learn and grow from this. The systemic aspect emphasises what the changes you will make mean for you as a person, interacting with other people in your environment. It can be immediately empowering and lots of fun.

 I also hold the General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (GQHP) awarded by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council, and am a Registered Hypnotherapist with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), also accredited by the National Regulatory Register for Hypnotherapy (NRH). The GHR is a national body established "for the maintenance of good practice and the encouragement of continuing development within the profession of hypnotherapy."

With a background in linguistics and English language teaching, I believe language plays a vital role in change. I aim to make the hypnotherapy session both relaxing and empowering, empahsising people's innate resourcefulness and resilience, always working with what the client brings to effect positive change in your life.
